About Renger Koning

Renger Koning is the maker of all the podcast tunes you’ll find here. Renger is a Dutch media composer/ sound designer with 20+ years experience in composing for film, trailers, advertising, TV station leaders, documentaries and theater. Renger felt it was about time to also start to compose tunes for podcasts and YouTube videos. 

At age 19, he produced his first multimedia recording with his father’s tape recorder. Since the early 1990’s, Renger has become an Award Winning Composer, receiving numerous nominations and awards in categories ranging from original composition, best soundtrack and mix for clients like Philips and Heineken. In 2017 he won the Buma Award for best Film score in the Netherlands.

Renger’s passion is not just in “the notes” but also in the original sounds and textures. He feels they contribute to a great soundtrack and is the reason why he designs his proprietary sample libraries, jingles, bumpers, stingers and underscores. Decades of experience has been gathered into the work you’ll find on this website resulting in an extraordinary music library.
